Lilly
Lilly is a Burmese, exiled visual artist, writer, and mental health practitioner currently based in Thailand. Trained in painting at the National University of Arts and Culture (NUAC), Yangon, she works across watercolour, fineliner, acrylic, oil, coloured pencil, and digital media. Her practice moves between figurative and abstract expression, drawing inspiration from artists such as Van Gogh, Monet, and Frida Kahlo, as well as Japanese art and the visual worlds of Studio Ghibli. Alongside her visual practice, Lilly writes creatively, using both words and images to explore memory, emotion, human connection, displacement, and the experience of living between places. Her work is intuitive and deeply personal, often creating space for vulnerability, imagination, and the quieter emotions that are difficult to express directly.
