Intersect

Min Thu Rein
acrylic202636 x 24 inpainting

In Intersect, Min Thu Rein brings together sweeping lines, layered colour, and spontaneous gestures within an open abstract composition. Bold strokes cross and overlap across the canvas, while areas of orange, blue, green, and muted tones shift between structure and movement. The intersecting marks create a visual tension between control and spontaneity. Created during ARTICO RESIDENCY 2026, Intersect reflects Min Thu Rein’s expressive approach to abstraction, allowing colour, line, and gesture to shape the work as it develops. I actually prefer the pairing Crossing Lines + Intersect. They feel connected in language without suggesting that the two paintings must be viewed as one work.
