The Flower Vendor(1)

​The Gangaw (Mesua ferrea) flowers held gently in the vendor’s hands—where will this bouquet find its home? And what about the others waiting to be chosen? ​Even the single white jasmine tucked behind her ear leaves us wondering: from whom did it come? ​A vendor's flowers carry endless stories. They might become a token of love for a cherished one, or a symbol of devotion to a deeply held faith. They could celebrate a moment of pure joy, or offer solace in a time of profound grief. ​No matter the destination, as long as there are stories to be told, the flower vendors will always remain a timeless presence in every marketplace.

Ye Yint Maung

Born in Yesagyo in 1993, Ye Yint Maung is a contemporary artist whose creative path evolved from landscape photography to digital illustration, and finally to traditional painting. Drawn to the freedom of fine art, he committed himself fully to the canvas in 2025. He recently made his artistic debut at The Collector Art Gallery’s Open Call Group Exhibition in June 2026. Dedicated to lifelong learning, he aims to spend his future entirely immersed in the practice of painting.
