A Girl Lying
She is a girl in my imagination. I don't know whether she exists in the real world or not. When I was drawing her face, I didn't use any references and didn't look at any faces. She purely came out of my inner self. I got the inspiration to create this artwork from "The Dead Christ in the Tomb" and the "Down" paintings by Kehinde Wiley. She is beautiful but you may not be so sure whether she is dead or alive. Sometimes, where beauty lies, I feel a sense of unease within it.
